Shepard Prince (He/They), the founder of The Alphabet Project and owner of Midwest Nerd Chick, is a dedicated advocate for LGBTQIA+ and disabled youth.

As a bisexual, genderqueer individual with personal experience navigating these communities, Shepard understands firsthand the challenges faced by families raising neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ children. Their journey as a parent has fueled their commitment to providing resources, support, and connection.

Through The Alphabet Project, Shepard offers a lifeline for caregivers, empowering them to create inclusive and loving homes. Using dark humor and down-to-earth messages, they educate communities, especially those affecting teens and younger youth, about LGBTQIA+ and disability issues. Additionally, Shepard runs an Inclusive Clothing Closet to provide essential resources for these communities.

Shepard's work is rooted in the belief that every family deserves the support and understanding necessary to thrive.

About Wichita Oasis. Wichita Oasis is a non-religious community for people to come together to connect, be inspired, and feel empowered. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation.

Kid's Room. Two experienced and vetted adults are ready to help make your child’s experience at Wichita Oasis as fun and engaging as the main program.
