Speaker Bio: Sean is an atheist and life long Wichitan. He's a board member of the “Grotto Society” and founder & president of Wichita’s Chapter of “The Satanic Grotto”. He is one of the three arrested in the rotunda of the State Capital last March when they held their highly contested “Black Mass”.

After the Wichita Oasis potluck, join us with Holly Terrill to discuss their new book Be More Pollyanna. This book invites readers to rediscover the overlooked magic of positivity--especially when life is hard. Through personal reflections, gentle humor, and a little bit of poetry, Holly embraces Pollyanna not as naive but as resilient--a character whose gladness is a radical act of hope.

Join us to experience improv, an exercise in being present in the moment. Flying Pig Improv founder Jessie Gray will help folks take risks, explore their genius, and literally celebrate “mistakes”.

The intended audience is 16+. Children ages 1+ are welcome to play in our supervised Kid's Room during the event.

About Jessie. Jessie’s passion for the spontaneous and unscripted world of improv began during intensive study in California where she began to perform, and then to teach classes, and then to direct and coach improv troupes. In addition to improv, Jessie has more than 40 years of stage experience from coast-to-coast as an actor, director, producer and choreographer. In 2019 she opened Flying Pig Improv to share her broad experience and deep knowledge with her hometown of Wichita, Kansas.

The McKinney-Vento program ensures homeless children have access to a free, public education by removing barriers and providing support to students and their families. Each quarter we collect items and then assemble them at the potluck for the students enrolled in the USD 259 program.
